Laboratory "Original"
Derevo Laboratorium reopens the doors of its Dresden home studio and begins the second semester of the ORIGINAL programme, the first semester of which took place in December 2020.
In this intensive 6-day session, students will work every day.
Work plans include:
- Bodywork,
- dance practices,
- working with the intellect and emotions.
- Watching Derevo's work
- learning how to "build" a performance,
- the basics of music notation.
There will be a strong emphasis on rhythmic education.

On 21 May there will be an open show-improvisation "The Light Nearby" at the St. Pauli Kirche (Theaterruine St. Pauli, Dresden) based on the results of the workshop
IN PROGRAMME
CREATION OF PROPS, COSTUME, MASKs.
The actress and teacher Elena Yarovaya is the author and designer of scenery and costumes for almost all DEREVO works, as well as the author of the Light Partitory for several DEREVO theatre productions.

Musical education
A fully equipped music studio for vocal, rhythm and various musical instruments.
Street Performance
Teacher Anton Adasinsky will elaborate on the topic of street performance or in non-theatrical spaces. At the end of this session, participants may have the opportunity to perform under the sky. This will be decided during the workshop. A selection of Derevo's street actions is here.

WORK WITH RARE BOOKS.
At the Derevo-Laboratorium house, students will have the chance to have a look at rare books about the history of dance and art, unique albums about Butoh dance, and photo and video materials.

10.00 - 12.00 physical training with Anton Adasinsky.
12.00 - 13.00 Lunch and free time.
13.00 - 14.30 Training with Elena Yarovaya.
14.30 - 16.00 Music lessons or work with Derevo archives or preparation for the performance.
16.00 - 19.00 Free time.
19.30 - 20.30 Evening improvisation
